LETTERS TO THE EDITOR

Letters to the Editor are welcome by email, regular mail, or through our online article submission form. Publication of your letter in the magazine is based on space availability, content, and quality considerations. We publish most Letters to the Editor on the blog when possible. Please limit letters to a 500 word maximum. We reserve the right to edit letters for readability and length. Anonymous letters will not be published, so please include your name and pertinent contact information.

GUEST POSTS AND ARTICLES

If you have an idea for an article or blog post, you may submit it for consideration; however, your guest post or article should be inspirational, motivational, or educational in nature, and it should speak positively to the credit and collection industry frontline. Popular topics include:

  • Collection Techniques
  • Skiptracing Hints
  • Negotiation Strategies
  • Goal Setting
  • Teamwork
  • Professional Development
  • Industry Regulations
  • Soft Business Skills
GUIDELINES YOU SHOULD KNOW
  1. Submissions must be exclusive to collector mentor.
  2. Your post or article should be between 300 and 2,000 words.
  3. The post or article must add value and shouldn’t be used as an opportunity to advertise your product or service.
  4. You understand that we reserve the right to edit your post or article for readability, length, grammar, etc. If changes are made, we will provide an opportunity for you to review our edits prior to publishing your work.
  5. You agree not submit an article or post that is not your work, or an article or post in which you do not own the copyright.
  6. To increase your odds, we suggest spending a few moments reading these two articles by Darren Rowse: “9 Ways Become an Exceptional Guest Poster” and “How to be a Good Guest Blogger.” You’ll be glad you did.
  7. All articles and posts are submitted on a pro bono basis.
  8. We encourage you to contact us with your post or article idea in advance.
READY TO SUBMIT?

If you’ve reviewed the guidelines and believe you have something inspirational, motivational, or educational to share with the credit and collection industry, great! We’re ready to hear from you. Here is what you need to know about submitting your post or article for review.

The easiest way to submit your article is to email it to us or use the online article submission form. However, if you prefer to lick a stamp, you can send your physical submission to P.O. Box 44, Adel, Iowa, 50003.  Include a self-address stamped envelope if you’d like your materials returned.

  • We will get back to you with a “yes” or “no” within 10 business days.
  • We reserve the right to reject any submission without explaining ourselves.
  • We may require that you to sign a waiver to disclaim our liability and authenticate your submission.
